We welcome both positive and negative feedback about our services because it helps us to continue doing what we're doing well, and make changes where we could do better. We try to respond to all our feedback and whilst it's not always possible to make alterations or do things different, we do take all suggestions very seriously and have introduced changes as a result of what you have told us!

Suggestions from our Annual Survey 2025

When we ran our Annual Survey 2025 one of our Rainbow Minds Service Users said, “We could do with an updated WhatsApp group to keep everyone in contact.”

We thought creating a messaging group was a fantastic idea for members of this peer support group. With encouragement from our facilitators, the group has now been successfully created. It has since helped Rainbow Minds members stay connected with one another and informed of updates relating to the group.

One of our service users at our former peer support group Springboard said they’d like to see us plan, “Day trips out in groups.”

We have incorporated this suggestion into our planning for the Mind Forward 2026 calendar! Mind Forward is a peer support group that meets every Monday, providing people with the opportunity to learn new skills in a friendly, low-pressure environment.

The upcoming calendar includes several exciting outings, such as a Mindfulness Walk in March.

A service user attending our former coffee morning suggested that we, “put a sign on the door when you change a
group.”

We totally agree with this! We keep our windows at the front of our Wellbeing Centre up to date with flyers and leaflets displaying upcoming events, and what peer support groups and socials we have going on. As well as this do go and follow us on Instagram and Facebook, we also keep these social media sites as up to date as possible with our latest news and events!

One of the General Counselling Clients said, “a post counselling support group would be useful.”

While we are unable to establish a support group for our counselling clients at this time, we are actively working to develop informative support packs for clients completing their time with us. To ensure these packs are as helpful and relevant as possible, we are committed to involving our service users in the decision-making process. Your insights and ideas are invaluable to us. We welcome you to come along to our Mind Forward: Service User Involvement Session on 17th February, where we will discuss these plans in greater detail.

 Suggestions from Christmas Open Minds

At our Christmas Open Minds Social in December, we asked service users if there was anything in particular, they’d like to see Sheffield Mind offer in the New Year. One service user said they’d really like to see, “more mindfulness, yoga and meditation”.

Excitingly a local yoga teacher Millie will be delivering yoga sessions here at our Wellbeing Centre, every Tuesday evening in January from 18:45 to 19:30. These sessions are pay as you feel, with all donations going to Sheffield Mind.

The class will start with a gentle pranayama (breathing) practice, flow through a gentle yet energising sequence of yoga asanas (poses), and end with a meditation to leave you feeling refreshed and grounded. Beginners are more than welcome!

If you'd like to contribute on a regular basis to how we run services and how we might change or improve the way in which services are delivered, you might be interested in joining our Open Minds Social Service User events.
