Board of Trustees

Our trustees have been recruited from a range of backgrounds, to ensure they have the skill set required to oversee how the charity is run and to advise on management, development and sustainability. They are committed to ensuring that Sheffield Mind provides the very best standards of care and support for our service users. In addition to attending board meetings, trustees have the opportunity to use their skills and specialisms by joining subcommittees which hone-in on certain aspects of Sheffield Mind's work.

We have a Finance subcommittee, an HR Subcommittee and a Fundraising sub-committee. In addition, trustees have a special interest in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, looking at ways in which Sheffield Mind can increase the support we give to staff and Sheffield citizens who come from diverse backgrounds, working in conjunction with the ‘Mind Blueprint for Change’, which sets outs national Mind's intention to work towards becoming an anti-racist organisation, started in the period 2021-2024, but now working beyond that date.

We also have a group of trustees who have a particular interest in increasing the service user voice. They have lived experience of mental health issues and they meet regularly to plan events and to meet with service users to talk about Sheffield Mind, our services and wider mental health issues.
