When and why did you start volunteering for Sheffield Mind?

About 2 years ago, I wanted to give something back to the local community and to expand my CV.

What is your role?

I've helped with events and promotion, especially on Social Media. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and have also helped with practical things such as decorating - it may interest people to know that I wallpapered the reception!!

What do you enjoy about volunteering for Sheffield Mind?

They're a lovely bunch of people, I never felt pressured to do anything and working with the team has built my confidence a LOT!

How to interact in a work environment, how to chat and work with service users in a relaxed and informal way.
