What Is the Mental Elf Festive Fun Run? The event is organised by Mind in South Yorkshire, a collaboration of local mental health charities working together to support communities across the region. Every step you take helps raise vital funds to improve mental health services and support for those who need it most. Whether you run, walk, skip, or dance your way around the route, everyone is welcome — including children, dogs, and elves of all ages. Its a lovely and friendly event and you don't have to be an experienced runner to take part - walking is encouraged and there are no winners, everyone gets a medal and a goodie bag. We held our first event last year on a very wet day in Rotherham, it was blowing a gale and we did get a little wet BUT that didn't dampen our enthusiasm and we had a lovely morning, the costumes were spectacular and the runners really did us proud. We would like to say a word of tanks to Lancashire Mind who created the original Mental Elf Fun Run concept. We are super excited to grow this event year on year in South Yorkshire. If you would like to take part in the event and help us to make it even bigger and better than last year, click here for further details. We look forward to seeing you!
