Hello, my name is Sijo Joseph, and throughout my career, I’ve remained committed to working with and alongside communities. In my current role at FURD (Football Unites, Racism Divides), I lead a sport for development programme that supports health and well-being, education, and community cohesion.

I’m really pleased to be a trustee at Sheffield Mind, I joined in 2025 and enjoy working with a team which has done incredible work supporting the local community. I’m excited to contribute. We share a strong commitment to making support and opportunities more accessible to those who need them most.

Originally from India, I do miss my South Indian dishes! In my free time, I volunteer with my church, play for and support my local cricket club, and co-run a small grassroots project with my wife, providing refurbished football boots to those who can’t afford them.
