We did it - Sheffield Mind's Virtual Hop Across the Pond!

In November and December, staff, volunteers, and supporters of Sheffield Mind embarked on a virtual challenge to “hop” across the pond, aiming to cover the distance between Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and Sheffield, Alabama—before Christmas!

At a staggering 4,200 miles, this was no small feat, and the team were very grateful for all the help they had from staff and supporters.

Local people got behind this exciting challenge in two key ways:

  1. Donating Miles – Helping the team reach their goal by contributing miles through walking, running, or cycling.
  2. Making a Donation – Support the fundraising effort by contributing to the appeal target in order to support the services that Sheffield Mind deliver across the city.

Every mile counts, and every donation makes a difference. Blisters aside - together we knew we could do this!

When we did the big count up, at the beginning of January, we found that we had exceeded our mammoth target by just one mile!

Thank you to everyone who helped us achieve this massive total! And there's still time to  make a donation by clicking here: A Walk Across The Pond Fundraiser
