We are delighted to announce that Sheffield Mind has been selected as the charity partner by Butter Side Up Theatre Company for their forthcoming production, Time at the Bar, taking place on 23rd and 24th January at Denby Suite, Arley StreetSheffield, South Yorkshire, S2 4QP

Time at the Bar is a dark comedy-drama written by Butter Side Up stalwart Charlie Lloyd. The play follows Isaac, John, and Tina as they navigate grief, family tensions, and the absurdities of modern life.

The company describes the production as:

“A time-travelling adventure with a little something for everyone, exploring rave culture, nights out, close friendships and, most importantly, family. It reflects on how those close to you do not define you, and how true love lies in inspiring the people you care about to live their lives — whether near or far, here or passed on.”

Collections will be taking place at both performances, and information about Sheffield Mind and our services will be available to all audience members.

We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity to raise awareness of our work and to generate much-needed funds to support the mental health services we provide across Sheffield. Every penny counts, and even small donations can make a big difference. Events like this play a vital role in helping us continue to offer support to those who need it most.

A huge thank you to everyone at Butter Side Up Theatre Company. We know how much time, dedication, and hard work goes into bringing a production like this to the stage. We wish the cast and crew the very best — and, of course, break a leg! 🎭
