Championing a new way to recruit Last week, in a change to our usual recruitment process, we held our Community Connector open recruitment days to bring new staff into the team. We wanted to move away from the formal Q&A format that forms the basis of our usual interview process as we know that for some people, the process is stressful and tends not to get the best out of some candidates who have excellent skills and experience. We asked our Community Connectors Manager, Aimee, to devise and deliver a process that would allow candidates to interact in a more comfortable and less daunting setting and she was pleased with the results saying, ''Open recruitment provided an accessible and relaxed space for candidates to learn more about the role, and demonstrate their skills and knowledge, stepping away from the more formal application and registration processes.' We are always looking for ways in which we can get the best out of people and this is just one way in which we hope to make opportunities accessible to all. Work for us Manage Cookie Preferences
