Celebrating Community at World Seniors Snooker We had the great pleasure of attending the World Seniors Snooker Seniors Day at the Crucible Theatre on Friday and it seemed apt that we should do so just ahead this year’s #MentalHealth AwarenessWeek, which carries the theme of community. Community can mean many things—local neighbourhoods, shared interests, or global connections—and this event truly embodied that spirit. Seniors from across the city came together for a memorable day of snooker, conversation, and camaraderie, with the added excitement of meeting some of the legendary figures of the sport. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, filled with laughter, shared stories, and a deep appreciation for the game and its icons. It was heartening to see people connecting over their love of snooker and enjoying each other's company in such a positive and inclusive setting. A big thank you goes to @WorldSeniorsSnooker for organising such a meaningful and positive event and to Jason Francis (Jasonfrancissport) for the kind invitation. Events like these highlight the power of community in supporting mental wellbeing, and we’re proud to have been a part of it. This annual gathering at the Crucible Theatre is a fantastic celebration of both sport and social connection—long may it continue! Manage Cookie Preferences
