Hello, I'm Michael. I became a therapist because I experienced firsthand how a therapist can work with lived experiences, early life experiences, stressful circumstances, and the connection between physical and mental well-being, to name a few.

Working with Clients to build the therapeutic space for them to do the same has been extremely rewarding. It has taught me how connection, empathy, and compassion can bring about great change in someone's life and well-being.

My clients have benefited from my working in a trauma-informed way, as well as incorporating key elements of polyvagal theory and a variety of cognitive and attachment models. I practice Integrative Counselling, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Attachment Theory, with continued interest in Compassion-Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

I work hard to create a safe space for the therapeutic relationship to develop naturally and collaboratively. Through this, we can identify a compassionate toolkit to help clients work with and face their own challenges, as well as benefit from therapy itself.
